Bookstore Day is scheduled
for Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. In case you are unable to
buy your books on this date, please call the Main Office for an alternative
date.
We are in need of volunteers
to help. If you can assist, please call Kim
Alles at 426-2258, Ext. 355.
This is adoption year for English and World Languages. That means new texts for all English class as
well as most Spanish and German Classes.
Please note some materials that will remain the same:
- The paperbacks used in English classes this year
will be used again and can be sold to the class below. The one exception to this is one of the sophomore
paperbacks -- The Odyssey by Homer.
There will be a new poetic translation instead of the prose adaptation
that was used this year.
- The AP Spanish class will continue to use the
paperback books, Don Quixote de
la Mancha Part I and Part II.
The other materials will be the same as well but they are workbooks
and can be used only if they are free of writing.
- Spanish II, III and IV students will continue to
use the Shaum’s Outline workbook that they already have in addition to the
new textbook.
- German II (Deutsch
Aktuell 2) can be resold because it will remain the same for this
next year. German I will be
new. This series will be phased in.
The Soccer Club will be
collecting used books on Friday, July 25, and Monday, July28, from 5:00 - 7:00
p.m. both nights. They will sell these
used books on Bookstore Day, July 30– the same day and times as the new
books. Mr. Bill Pigman (Soccer Club) is
in charge of the used books.
If your student did not turn
their books in the last week of classes, the next opportunity will be when the
Soccer Club is collecting used books on July 25 and 28. Used
books will not be accepted during the summer in the Main Office.
