Mater Dei Friends & Alumni Association

The Mater Dei Friends and Alumni Association (MDFAA) promote quality Catholic Education at Mater Dei High School by providing support for the school and promoting the general welfare of Mater Dei and its students and faculty. MDFAA encourages the interest of its graduates, parents, and families of current and past students, and friends and supporters of Mater Dei by promoting, sponsoring and carrying out religious, educational, literary, charitable and related activities and objectives at Mater Dei.

The Mater Dei Friends and Alumni Association (MDFAA) promote quality Catholic Education at Mater Dei High School by providing support for the school and promoting the general welfare of Mater Dei and its students and faculty.The Association consists of all Mater Dei alumni, all past parents and current parents of Mater Dei students and other friends of Mater Dei. The efforts of the Association are governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of no less than 30 and no more than 50 voting members. This membership is composed of members of the Evansville Catholic Interparochial High School Board, a representative of the teaching faculty at Mater Dei, a representative of the Mater Dei Booster Club, the President, the Vice-President and the immediate Past President of the Association, other members elected by the Board from a list of active Association members names by the Nominating Committee and the member of the Mater Dei faculty who is serving as the Feeder School Liaison.

MDFAA funds may only be expended to further the purposes of the Association, and actions of the Board must not conflict with 501 (c) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Donations designated for a specific purpose and contributions made to a fund drive dedicated to a special goal may only be expended for that purpose or goal. At least 10% of the unrestricted contributions to the Association, during any fiscal year, shall be placed into the Association's endowment with the Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Indiana, Inc.

The fiscal year for the Association runs from September 1 to August 31 of the following year.
