Affording Mater Dei

At Mater Dei High School, we are committed to being a school of choice for all families, regardless of income. While we work hard to keep tuition affordable, we also provide support to help families meet the rising cost of a high-quality Catholic education.

Thanks to generous donors and state programs, tuition assistance is available to help make Mater Dei accessible for every student—in fact, 82% of our families receive financial aid. We encourage any family with concerns about affordability to apply, and we invite you to reach out to Jill Seiler directly for guidance or questions about tuition assistance.

The priority deadline for tuition assistance applications is April 15 each year, but applications are accepted after that date as well.

A $350 per student book/technology fee will be added to the tuition cost.

*As a parishioner of an assessed parish, your tuition is being subsidized by your parish. Assessed parishes include all Evansville area parishes. Your parish Priest or business office will confirm parishioner status with Mater Dei High School to determine eligibility for this tuition rate.

Tuition Payment Options

FACTS Management Company will manage our tuition payment program through its online payment system. Families will receive an email notification in early June to register and complete a payment agreement.

Your student's enrollment is not final until tuition is paid in full or a payment agreement has been completed. Please contact Financial Controller, Audrey Riney at (812) 426-2258 Ext 365 or email ariney@evdio.org to make other arrangements if needed.

Option A - Full Payment

The entire amount of tuition and fee balance is paid by July 18, 2025.

Option B - Semi-Annual Payments

The entire amount of tuition is paid in two installments in July and December. Families can choose to set up automatic payments for either the 5th, 20th, or last day of the month. A $40.00 payment plan fee will be drafted from your account a few days after your payment agreement is finalized.

Option C - Monthly Payments

The tuition and fee balance is paid monthly. Families can choose to pay over 10 months beginning in July and ending in April. Families will have several days of the month to select for their monthly bank draft. A $75 payment plan fee will be drafted from your account a few days after your payment agreement is finalized.

Thanks to state programs and generous donors, Mater Dei provides a variety of financial aid options to help you afford your child’s education:

Indiana School Choice Scholarship (Voucher)
The School Choice Scholarship (Voucher) is an award from the state in which funding is granted to the approved private or parochial school of the parent’s choice. Mater Dei High School and all of our affiliated Catholic elementary schools are approved School Choice participants. If you have primary school-age children, we will be happy to direct you in the process of getting them qualified as well. To apply, families must live in Indiana and School Choice income guidelines must be met.
Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Grants
Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship (or SGO) program was created to give families who meet School Choice income guidelines an opportunity to send their child to a participating private school. SGOs are funded by private donations and can be used to supplement the voucher program if needed.

School-Based Tuition Assistance
Grant monies from the Catholic Education Foundation, Mater Dei Endowments and private donations allow the school to distribute additional support to fill the gap or assist those families who need more help than just a voucher.

Please note your federal tax information is required along with the completed form. The priority deadline for tuition assistance is April 15th. Applications received after that date will still be accepted, but available assistance other than School Choice Scholarships is limited.

Indiana School Choice Scholarship

Enrolling your son or daughter in a private institution is a commitment for both the student and the family. We are here to support you as you navigate through this important step of the admissions process. One major source of tuition assistance comes in the form of the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program.

The Indiana School Choice Scholarship Program provides scholarships (vouchers) to eligible students by utilizing a portion of State funding allocated for that child to follow them to the non-public school of their choosing.
